This is an opportunity for the patient to meet with Dr. Nguyen and ensure that her approach is the right fit for their needs. The patient's confidence and trust in their compatibility with Dr. Nguyen are key to a successful mental health journey together. If it is determined that the fit is not ideal, Dr. Nguyen will provide personalized referrals to another psychiatrist in the area.
Initial Evaluation
During this 90-minute session, the aim is to begin unraveling the patient's story. Dr. Nguyen will explore the patient's current concerns and symptoms, as well as gain insight into various facets of their life, including childhood, work, relationships, and beyond. With the patient's consent, Dr. Nguyen may reach out to their therapist, primary care physician, teacher, or loved one for additional insights. By the end of the appointment, the patient will receive an assessment, potential diagnoses, and treatment recommendations.

Follow Up Options

Concise Follow Up
During this follow-up session, Dr. Nguyen will provide updates, assess the progress made with implemented strategies, and discuss medication management if applicable. Any concerns or side effects the patient may be experiencing will be addressed, and adjustments will be made to optimize the treatment plan accordingly.

Comprehensive Follow Up
In addition to the elements covered in the concise follow-up, Dr. Nguyen will delve deeper into various aspects of the patient's life and apply additional therapy techniques during this extended session. This option is particularly beneficial when the patient is facing a stressful event or during the initial stages of treatment, where rapid improvement is a priority.

Travel Rate
Dr. Nguyen offers visits in various settings, including walks, parks, coffee shops, homes, and schools. Travel costs are additional and will be applied separately from the follow-up rates.

We are a self pay practice
You may be able to pursue out-of-network reimbursement for services rendered, depending on your health insurance plan. Payment is due at the time of service and we do not guarantee out of network reimbursement (it is the client’s responsibility to confirm out of network benefits with their insurance carrier). For clients who are submitting for out-of-network reimbursement we will provide a superbill (or medical bill) for submission to their insurance.

After each appointment, they charge 5% of the appointment fee to submit your claims, handle the paperwork, call your insurance company and deal with denials.
